No medical advice
StepMade is not a medical organisation and not a medical device. The content, plans, step goals and recommendations of StepMade - including coaching texts created with the help of artificial intelligence - do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. They do not replace medical examination, treatment or professional support by qualified specialists (e.g. doctors, physiotherapists, nutrition professionals). You use StepMade at your own responsibility.
Never make medical decisions based on the app alone; seek medical advice first.
When to seek medical advice first
Please talk to a doctor before using StepMade if you
- are under medical treatment or are taking prescription medication,

Your goal weight
We recommend maintaining a healthy weight in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO). A healthy body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 25. Your goal weight and your plan should always be consistent with your health condition. If you are unsure about your own physical capacity, seek medical advice.
While walking
The suggested step goals and walks are designed for people of average health and physical fitness. Please
- adapt pace, duration and effort to your condition,
- respect your physical limits and do not reach a step goal at any cost,
- stop a walk immediately in the event of pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea or other discomfort,
- pay attention to traffic, weather, terrain and surroundings while walking.
Persons aged between 16 and 17 may only use StepMade in consultation with their parents or legal guardians.
Estimates, no guarantee
Step goals, calorie figures and forecasts of the weight trend are mathematical estimates based on your information and on data from Apple Health or Health Connect. They may differ from the actual course. No particular weight loss or other result is guaranteed.
