The walking coach for weight loss

Walk the weight off.

I'm StepMade. Every Monday I set your steps, and you walk them. That's the whole plan.

Stop 1 · Your goal

Tell me where you're headed.

Pick how much you'd like to lose. I lay the plan out over 8, 10 or 12 weeks, and it always ends on a Sunday.

12 weeks it is. I'll take it from here.

Stop 2 · Your steps

Not 10,000. Yours.

I start from your last 14 days in Apple Health or Health Connect. Every Monday I look at your week and set the next target, a little higher each time, up to a ceiling that makes sense.

This week: 7,800 a day.

Stop 3 · Walks and weigh-ins

Two or three walks. One weigh-in.

On your bigger days I plan a walk with a timer. No GPS, no gear. On Sunday you step on the scale, and I show you where the curve is heading.

Stop 4 · The coach

I talk. Briefly.

One line a day, written for your day. Miss a walk and I find the next slot. No guilt, no sermons.

Rain until three. I moved your walk to 17:30.
2,100 to go. A long phone call counts if you pace.
Missed yesterday? Still a habit. Next slot is 18:00.

Stop 5 · Sunday, week 12

You walked that.

Twelve weeks, one Sunday at a time. Your route starts with one step.

Questions

Which phones does it work on?+

iPhone with Apple Health, and Android with Health Connect. I read your steps from there, so there's nothing extra to wear.

Why not just 10,000 steps?+

Because it's a round number, not your number. I start where you are today and raise the target every Monday, so it stays doable.

Do I have to count calories?+

No. This version is about steps, walks and a weekly weigh-in. That's it.

What happens with my health data?+

I use your steps and weight to plan your weeks, and nothing else. The details are in the privacy policy.

Is this medical advice?+

No. StepMade is a coach for everyday walking, not a medical service. If you have a health condition, check with your doctor before you start.
